The established Republican party may just being having a scare this election season. Thirty four seats have been gathered by the Democratic party over the course of twelve months. Surprisingly, the majority of those thirty four seats came from locations that typically vote Republican. Traditions and demographics are altering. Republicans are not easily getting votes the way they use to. The grassroots campaign of many Democratic leaders is compelling, enriching, chrematistic and engaging these voters to perhaps vote for a Democrat for the first time in their lives.
End Citizens United has released a new poll detailing the race between Beto O’Rourke and Ted Cruz. This poll reveals how more and more traditional Republican voters are marking a candidate for a different party. Many others may not find upsetting this election to be of much importance but it details how voters are changing their political views. But it also showcases another point. This election reveals that the work of super PAC End Citizens United is having and effect.

This organization was created in March of 2015. End Citizens United was established in an effort to combat the U.S. Supreme Court Ruling in 2010. This ruling made it legal for American elections to receive undisclosed amounts of money from unknown sources. Essentially, all of this means that elections are no longer going to be held accountable for who their donors are, how much money is donated to their campaign and what are the intentions of these donors, especially those flooding campaigns with tens of millions of dollars. Transparency and responsibility has been abolished for political campaigns due to this ruling. Billionaires are now more easily and certainly legal able to buy elections. They can sway their own personal intent and motives to occur in American politics.
End Citizens United is funded from grassroots donors. The group works to support candidates that believe in being accountable about campaign spending. They work to get officials with these values elected into office. With the work of this organization, transparency and honesty can be returned back into the American political system and election campaigns.
