Jose Borghi was born in Prudente Brazil and attended PUC Campina where he graduated in Advertising and Propaganda. It is not until in his junior his year that he realized what career path he wanted to take. His sister encouraged him to watch a performance, which turned out to be a commercial award presentation to Cannes. After the show, he had made up his mind what he wanted to do with his life.
After graduating college in 1989, José started his first job with Standart Ogilvy and was outstanding at the job. He worked for other renowned advertising companies including FCB, DM9/DDB, and Talent & Leo Burnet before opening his ad agency.
He partnered with Erh Ray, and they both started BorghiErh. They had no money, supporters, or godfather, but instead, they depended on m their effort to see the company’s success. In 2006, the company was bought by Lowe, and it became Borghi Lowe with Borghi splitting the presidency with Erh.
They continued with their efforts, and it paid as the company expanded to leaps and bounds to become recognized both domestically and internationally.
In the recent past, Borghi Lowe merged with Lowe Partners and Mullen Group to give birth to Mullen Lowe Brasil. Jose Borghi and Andre Gomes are the acting co-CEO of the new advertising agency.
